Carlita Joan Crawford Bell born July 31st of 1956 in Brooklyn NY to parents Leonard & Margret Bell and older brother Randy Bell. Carlita was nicknamed Lita by her brother early on and it stuck. Everyone who new here called her Lita. As a child she loved music, Minnie Riperton and had a crush on The Jackson 5's Tito Jackson. Her love for Jazz developed in High School when she was introduced to Gil Scott-Haron which she regularly attend shows with friends. 

As a young child Carlita was a Straight A student which followed her from Elementary school throughout High School. She attended Baruch College where she graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration. She late attended NYU and received her Masters Degree in Marketing. In between gaining her education she developed a hobby for photography. 

On September 1, 2023 at 12:48am Carlita (Lita) Bell passed on to join her parents & brother on the other side and leaves behind a host of cousins and good friends. She will be greatly missed.
