He attended Xavier University, joined the U.S. Navy in 1948, and became an officer and a pilot, and served his country proudly for 28 years. In 1955 he married Wilma Rose Wolfer. At that time the family moved to Camarillo, California. Carl went back to school and got his MBA. He worked at the Pleasant Valley School District and was an independent tax preparer for many years. More recently Carl was a long time volunteer with the Camarillo Health Care District which he enjoyed very much. He and Wilma loved time at home but also did a lot of traveling. Many times their children and grandchildren got to go with them or meet up with them on their travels. Prague was a particularly favorite place that Carl and Wilma visited for several weeks at a time for many years, and where they could revel in their love of opera.Carl was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings George, Billy and Millie.
