CENTER HARBOR – Carl Tarte, 56, of Piper Hill Road died suddenly Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at Tufts Medical Center, Mass.He was born on Feb. 13, 1960, in Laconia, the son of the late Harold and Marguerite Tarte. He worked all his life as a master carpenter, caretaker for many customers in the Lakes Region, and was a jack of all trades. Carl enjoyed the outdoors and sharing it with his family, especially fishing and camping. Many will remember Carl for his well told stories and his kindness.He is survived by his loving wife, Sally (Downs) of 33 years; son, Brian of Gilmanton; daughter, Amy and fiancé, Eric Hoffman of Woodbridge, Va.; mother-in-law, Miriam Downs; brother, Paul of Laconia; sisters, Maxine Violette of Belmont, Donna Robert of Weathersfield Vt., Martha Tuttle of Concord and Lois Pinard of Laconia.  In addition to his parents, he was pre-diseased by his siblings, Billy, Tim, Jim, Peggy and Kathy. There will be no calling hours. A celebration of Carl's life will be held at his home which he built, on Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 2 to 6 p.m.A private burial will be held in the spring. Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, are assisting the family with the arrangements.
