Carl (Denny) ParkerWindsor HeightsCarl Dennis Parker 78 passed away at his home on January 8, 2017. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 11, at St. Theresa Catholic Church with burial at St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery in Weller, IA. Carl was born on September 1, 1938 to Carl R. and Dorothy M.(Lewis) Parker in West Des Moines. He married Dorothy A. Maddy on June 1, 1963 in Weller, Iowa. Carl served in the U.S. Navy, graduated from Drake University and retired as a Supervisor for the State of Iowa. He enjoyed wood working, painting and gardening. Carl is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Nikki (Doug) Armstrong and Kristine (Eric) Schlitzer; son, Russell Parker; and grandchildren, Maddy, Alyssa, Mackenzie, Alexis and David, and his sister Doloris Pasvar.Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 Tuesday evening at Westover Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Theresa Foundation or the Animal Rescue League in Carl's name.
