OOSTBURG - Age 47, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at his home following an illness. Carl was born on May 23, 1969 in Portland Maine, the son of Carl A. Stuhr and Diana (Nicholas) Stuhr. He graduated from Ethan Allen School in 1987. Carl worked at Charter Steel and KMC up until the time of his retirement due to illness in 2015. Carl enjoyed golf, fishing, music, traveling, playing cribbage and spending time outdoors. Carl is survived by his lifetime partner, Lora Bell of Oostburg; his mother, Diana Nicholas of Portland, Maine; his father, Carl Stuhr of Racine; one brother, Scott Stuhr of Racine; grandmother, Elaine Stuhr of Racine; Lora’s parents, John (Kathy) Bell of Menomonee Falls, Barbara (George) Taylor of Hingham; one niece, Hannah Stuhr; and three nephews Tyler Stuhr, Aaron Nissen, and Corbin Kutella. Carl was preceded in death by grandparents and one niece, Amelia Kutella. A memorial service to celebrate Carl’s life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg with Fr. Dick Cerpich officiating. Family and friends may gather at the Wenig Funeral Home on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 11 am until the time of the service at 1 PM. A memorial fund has been established in Carl’s name.
