He married Doris Ferguson and they lived together in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Together they raised 2 children Marcus Ferguson , Kendrick Ferguson . He is also survived by 2 grandchildren.

Carl graduated from Augusta Technical College in 1984

Sergeant Ferguson served his country for 23 years in the Army.
