Carala is survived by her loving spouse of 25 years, Norbert Wels Jr. of Wallops Island, VA; two sons, Matthew Mason, Jr. of Chincoteague Island, VA, Robert Mason of Wallops Island, VA; mother, Ruth Reed of Chincoteague Island, VA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norbert and Dolores Wels, Sr. of Chincoteague Island, VA; two grandsons, Cameron Mason of Chincoteague Island, VA, Raven Mason of Chincoteague Island, VA; Granddaughter, Allyson Mason of Chincoteague Island, VA; three sisters, Teresa Franklin of Chincoteague Island, VA, Melody Reed of Chincoteague Island, VA, Crystal Hyett of FL; several nieces and nephews. . She was preceded in death by father, Stanley "Chick" Reed. Graveside service will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017, 2:00 pm at the Hill Cemetery, Chincoteague Island, VA, with Rev.
