Wayne was born on April 25, 1922, to Ralph L. and Ruth Carson Dubois. He passed away peacefully Feb. 8, 2010, in Logan, Utah.  He grew up in Fairfield, Utah, a graduate of Lehi High School. Following service in the Air Force during World War II, where he was a flight engineer in a B-24 bomber, he returned home and married Joan Enniss on Dec. 29, 1947. They have been married for 62 years and are the parents of three children: Bonnie Rigtrup (Don), Sue Dubois (Wildrick) and L. Paul Dubois. They have 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Wayne received his B.S. degree at Utah State University and M.S.W. at Washington University (Brown School of Social Work) in St. Louis, Mo. His first work position was at the Institute of Juvenile Research in Chicago, Ill. The family moved back to Utah where Wayne set up and was the chief psychiatric social worker at the Utah County Child Guidance Clinic in Springville. He went on to work as the chief social worker at the Central Utah Psychiatric Center in Provo and later served as the social services director for Region II in the state of Utah. He was also a fieldwork supervisor for the University of Utah, Graduate School of Social Work. Most of his working years were in private practice. He founded the Rush Valley and Cedar Valley Boys' Ranches. He was also the director of Dubois Counseling Services located in Springville, Utah, and in Albuquerque, N.M. He retired Sept. 1, 1999. In years past, he was a weekly writer for the Provo Daily Herald under the title "Mental Health and You." He was also certified by the American Board of Examiners as a diplomat in clinical social work. As owner of the Sage Creek Racing Stables in Springville, he raised and trained thoroughbred horses. He loved to dance and sing, enjoyed the arts and attended many musical productions. Wayne was an avid sports fan. Whenever he was able, he raised a vegetable garden and shared what he grew with family and friends. Dad cherished family gatherings.  Wayne is survived by his wife and daughters; and siblings, ReNeé McFarland (Jerry), Jeanne Benson (Richard), Garth Jones (Marie), Helen Poulas and Rosemary O'Rullian. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Tone Dubois and Keith Dubois; his sister, Elaine Dillree; and his son, L. Paul Dubois. The family expresses appreciation to Dr. Rodney Badger.
