Byron R. StoverYORKByron R. Stover, 79, died Wednesday January 27, 2016, at his home. He was the husband of Diane M. (Wilt) Stover.Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be held at 4 P.M. Sunday, January 31, 2016, at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, with Pastor David Brenneman officiating. There will be no viewing. A visitation will be held Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.Byron was born on November 4, 1936, in West Manchester Township, a son of the late Emanuel A. and Susan Elizabeth (Farrance) Stover.He was the longest active employee for P.H. Glatfelter, Spring Grove, having retired in February of 2008 after over 51 years. In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Tina M. Ely of York; a son, Curtis E. Stover and his wife, Shawna of York; and his four grandchildren, Ethan and Elijah Murray, and Xander and Sylvie Stover.The family would like to thank Jess and Jamison Getz, Hospice & Community Care, the staff at Best Western on Kenneth Road, and all of the friends and family who showed their support these last few months.
