Butch McKissackSHREVEPORT, LA - Mr. Wesley D. "Butch" McKissack was born on March 25, 1937 to Ruell and Hazel McKissack in Waterloo, AR. He lost his fight on July 9, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. Butch was a Tech graduate with a degree in Forestry and started his own business, Frierson Timber Company. He retired and then he and his wife, Maureen bought Wesco Marble.He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Maureen McKissack; two daughters, Jennifer Moore and Joy Dowden; two step-sons, Hall and Jack Adams; six grandchildren, Butch and Drake Bartels, Victoria and Georgia Dowden and Elizabeth and Beck Adams.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Bro. Steve McAlister officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends for visitation at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service.
