Burr MillerAge: 88 • BurlingtonBurr Miller of Burlington, VT. died peacefully on January 27 at the Birchwood Terrace nursing facility. He was born on April 24, 1928 in New York City; the son of George and Carrie Miller. He grew up in Long Island and after high school served in the Navy as a Corpsman at the Boston Naval Hospital from 1946 to 1948. After the Navy he joined his father as a fine art lithographer at George C. Miller and Son, Inc. in New York. In 1956 he married Delora Jane Suggs. They later had two sons, Steven and Terry. After retiring in 1994 he and Jane moved to Burlington to where the family has a home since 1937.He was an avid sportsman who spent a lifetime hunting, fishing and boating on Lake Champlain. He is survived by his loving wife Jane and his sons Steven and Terry. No funeral services are planned. Cremation services were handled by the Ready Funeral Home of Burlington.The Miller family will a have a celebration of his life with their friends at a later date.
