Bruce LaPoint1951 - 2013Bruce LaPoint, 61, of Kenosha passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at his home. Bruce was born on Dec. 20, 1951, in Kenosha, the son of the late Edward and Doris (Hudson) LaPoint. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha, graduating from Bradford High School in 1970. He was employed at Chrysler for over 30 years, retiring in 2008. After he retired he spent his time on his favorite pastime of horseback riding and horse care. He also gave horse riding lessons for the past few years. Bruce was a member of the U.A.W. Local 72, the National Border Collie Association, and the National Horse Reigning Association, where he was past treasurer for 10 years. Survivors include his sister, Doris Packman; two brothers, Patrick (Elaine) LaPoint, Michael (Debbie) LaPoint; nieces and nephews, Dawn (Bob) Jurgens, John (April), Michael (Sandy), Stacy (Jesse), Kari LaPoint, Robert Otterson, Kyle Jurgens, Denniel (Joey) Jurgens-Flechner, Makayla, Brandon LaPoint, Romeo, Solane , Thalia Sullivan, Tyler Wilson, Alyssa Jasso, Nickolas and Lillianna Otterson, all of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Buddy LaPoint, and a brother-in-law, Delbert Packman. He will especially be missed by his dog, Jessie and his horse, Buster. A greeting time with the family will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 4-7 p.m. with memorial services to follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials for the family would be appreciated.
