It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Croy, who was born on April 7, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States, and passed away on March 2, 2025. Bruce was proceeded in death by his father, Wayne Croy and mother, Betty Croy.

Bruce is survived by his partner, Candy Gillespie, his children Bruce (Katelyn) Croy and Shannon (Ashleigh) Gillespie, his grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Bruce attended Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School and graduated in 1972. He went on to further his education at William Penn University. Bruce was known for his dedication to his studies and his commitment to lifelong learning.

Throughout his life, Bruce "jack of all trades but master of none". He has served as a stage hand for the Stage & Picture Operators, Local 191 for many years. He served as Vice-President since 2018.

Bruce's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
