He passed away on Oct 2, 2016 of natural causes.Brent grew up in Caldwell and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1995. He pursued a degree at BSU and was an avid Broncos fan. He enjoyed getting together with friends to watch their games. He also enjoyed his work being a mentor to individuals with special needs. Brent was a good uncle and loved by all.Brent was preceded in death by his father in March 2016, grandparents Clarence and Millie Petersen, and grandfather, Martin T. Shaffer.Brent is survived by his mother, sisters Haylie Michelle Acevedo and Cortnie (Mike) McHugh, grandmother, Helen Shaffer and several aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 11:30 on Tues Oct 11, 2016 at Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell, ID.
