This obituary is administered by:
Brad Lloyd Lenhart passed away at his Hyde Park, Utah, home on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, from complications of esophageal cancer. He was born on March 8, 1951, in Logan, Utah, as the youngest child and only son of Lloyd Luther Lenhart and Janice Rasmussen Lenhart.Brad grew up in Providence, Utah, during the idyllic times of the 1950s and 1960s when riding a bike, building a tree house, or playing baseball were the best of things. Brad attended Cache County schools and graduated from Sky View High School in 1969. From the time Brad was a toddler he always had a car around, and cars were always a passion whether they went really fast or just looked really good. High school was always about hanging with his best friends and working to make his cars run really fast.In 1970, he met the love of his life, Sarah Kim LaMont, and they were married June 18, 1971. After 40 years of marriage, they were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple for time and all eternity Aug. 4, 2011. They are the parents of one beautiful daughter, Brandee, who was always the light of her daddy's life.Brad spent most of his career working in the automotive business. He started out as a body repair technician while still in high school. He then worked for Checker Auto Parts, first as assistant manager and then for 15 years as store manager where he made lifelong friends with both his employees and customers. After leaving Checker he worked as a salesman for Wilson Motor Company for a short time and then moved into the business of fiberglass fabrication sales. The highlight of his career was working for Flying J in their J Care Center Division as their regional sales manager. He loved the travel, the challenge of putting a deal together and seeing it work well for his customers. Most of all he loved the people that he worked with. He always said everyone should be lucky enough to love their job this much.Brad is survived by his wife, Kim; his daughter, Brandee (Mitch) Halverson; his two much-loved grandchildren, Taylee Halverson and Gage Joseph Halverson; one sister, Coy (Jay) Nyman; his mother-in-law, Dolores LaMont; sisters-in–law, Taya (Calvin) Winslow and Candace Allred; his lifelong best friend, Craig (Shannon) Rasmussen; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Janice Lenhart; father-in-law, Gordon Andrew LaMont; brother-in-law, Stanley Andrew LaMont and his grandparents.Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at the Hyde Park 8th Ward, 480 N. 100 West in Hyde Park, with Bishop Kevin Flint conducting.
