We mourn the loss of Booker Denton, born on May 31, 1962, in Inverness, Mississippi, United States. He passed away on August 11, 2024.
Booker was the beloved son of Browning Denton and Vera Lee Denton. He was the loving husband of Verlinda McKinney Denton whom he married in 1992. Together, they had four children: Terrence Denton, Crystal Denton, Kimberly Denton, and Justin Denton. Booker also leaves behind six grandchildren.
Booker attended Gentry High School, graduating in 1975. He furthered his education at Mississippi Valley State University. He served in the US ARMY and retired in 2002. Booker was actively involved in the Masonic Organization and was dedicated to serving his country in the Army.
Among his many hobbies, Booker enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Booker Denton succumbed to Prostate Cancer, leaving a void in the hearts of his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
