Bonita M. Raasch 1927—2016Bonita M. Raasch, 89, of Rockton, passed away on November 24, 2016 in her home after an extended illness. She was born on April 16, 1927 in Eau Galle, WI, to Reynold and Laura (Asher) Weber. She was one of 10 children. She married to Gerald E. Raasch on November 18, 1947 in Menomonie, WI. They would have just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. In 1965, they left their small Wisconsin farm and moved to Rockford where she was employed by the Amerock Corporation for 23 years, retiring in 1989. Bonnie enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, and baking. Her greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bonnie is survived by her sisters, Bernadine Kincade of Thornton, CO, and Donna Weber of LaCrosse, WI; daughters, Andrea Freeman (Mel Jahn) of Roscoe, Rita Hammer of South Beloit; son, Daniel (Susan) Raasch of Roscoe; daughters, Joyce (Steven) Niemeyer of Roscoe, Patricia (Kurt) Zahn of Roscoe; sons, David (Carrie) Raasch of Rockton, and Michael (Lisa) Raasch of Roscoe; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald and her eldest son, Gregory, as well as by 7 brothers and sisters.
