    Obituary for Bobby Wayne Strader

Bobby Wayne Strader, age 80, passed away on December 30, 2025. Born at home in Rector, Arkansas, Bobby was one of four children—and the only son—of L.C. and Thelma Strader. Bobby lived an eventful and full life. As a young man, he followed in his father’s footsteps and became a farmer. Early in his married life, his sense of adventure led him to Alaska, where he worked as a carpenter and raised his family. In later years, Bobby returned closer to his roots and his parents in Missouri. There, he raised cattle and built a career in insurance. He eventually settled in Halfway, Missouri, where he began a new chapter and a new family. Bobby cherished his rural life, his friends, and his church community, where he was a member of Brighton Assembly Church. Known for his strong work ethic, Bobby never shied away from honest labor and understood the true value of hard work. He was always ready to lend a hand, and quick to share his wisdom and wit. Bobby loved to smile, to laugh, and to find humor in everyday moments. Bobby spent the last weeks of his life preaching the gospel to everyone he saw. He loved Jesus and His Word, and his family takes comfort in knowing he now resides with Him forever. Bobby is survived by his sister, Shirley; his sons, Richard (Beth), Paul, and Steven; his daughter, Camille (Mikal); his grandchildren, Kody, Isabeau, Tristan, Tess, Ella, Luna, Liam and Lincoln, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephew's. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Peggy and Caroline. A memorial service will be held at Brighton Assembly on Saturday January 10th @4:00pm.
