Bobbie Rue Woods ParkerJackson, TNMrs. Bobbie Rue Woods Parker, age 84 of Lexington, formerly of Jackson, passed away on Monday morning, October 31, 2016 at Heritage Place Assisted Living in Lexington.Mrs. Parker was born on January 12, 1932 in Bemis, TN to the late Carl Lee and Dessie Woods. Was married to Fred L Parker on May 12, 1951 for 60 years till his passing in 2011. They had two children, the late Brenda Carol Maddox and is survived by her son, Stephen Parker of Combine, Texas. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Leslie Tosh of Jackson and Brittany Parker of Combine, Texas and by two great-grandchildren, Kailey Tosh of Jackson and Jaxon McLaughlin of Texas. She was an active member of Englewood Baptist Church and East Union Baptist Church where she was a faithful Sunday School Teacher and her love was singing with the Women's Trio and the Church Choir. Funeral services for Mrs. Parker will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 1 p.m. at George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., two hours prior to the service.George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel, (731) 427-5555
