This obituary is administered by:

Loved the Lord, her family & friends

Our dear mother, Bobbie Kay Hudson, went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2022, at the age of 86 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bobbie was born on July 18, 1936, to Jim and Louise King in Whitesboro, Texas and was the oldest of their three children. She moved to Southern California in her teenage years and graduated from Mark Keppel High School in Alhambra, California. She married the love of her life, Ronald Joseph Hudson, and they had three sons - Gregory, Christopher, and Jonathan. Ron and Bobbie spent their days attending and volunteering their boys' sports, activities, and events. Later, Bobbie would say she spent the best days sitting in the bleachers, watching her kids and then later, her grandkids.

But what Bobbie loved best was serving the Lord. She started, led, and participated in numerous Bible studies, Vacation Bible Schools, women's devotionals, and church prayer groups. Bobbie dedicated her time and homemaking talents to Mom's and Beyond, Kardia, MOPS, and AWANA. She was a selfless woman of faith who put the Lord first. She was dedicated to her family and friends. She loved gardening, antiques, and baseball. She was a diehard Los Angeles Dodgers fan and then when she moved to Colorado became a huge Rockies fan. She loved when the Rockies won by 7 runs so she could get free Rockies Tacos the very next day. She would often take her grandkids with her.

Bobbie is survived by her children, Greg (Sheri), Chris, and Jon (Marcy). She has five amazing grandchildren Dana (Tanner) Ward, Taylor (Nikki) Hudson, Shelby (Justin) Torres, Carly and Justin Hudson who lovingly called her G. Bobbie was a very proud great grandmother of seven who called her GiGi: Hudson and Layton Ward; Steele, Hunter, and Teagan Hudson; and Paislee and Reagan Torres. Bobbie is also survived by her sister Jean (Roger) Arden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Hudson, her parents Jim and Louise King, and her brother Jimmy King.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 4:00pm (MST) at Cross Fellowship Church located at 10915 Black Forest Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80908. The service will be live streamed. This information will be updated closer to the date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Compassion International, specifically to the child that Bobbie has sponsored for many years, Miguelina Perez Vital who lives in the Dominican Republic.
