Billy Jack Boyd, age 81, of Jacksboro, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 29 at his residence. Billy was born on September 22, 1934, in Harlan County, Ky. to the late Frank and Maggie Jackson Boyd. He was a retired truck driver and member of the Teamsters Union Local 20. Billy was also a 32nd degree mason where he attended the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of the Valley Toledo and the Star Lodge 78 F&AM in Largo, Fla. Billy loved fishing. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by brother, Johnny Boyd, sisters, Mary Katherine Duff and Ottella Boyd and sons, William Lee Boyd and Terry Boyd.He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Johnson Boyd of Jacksboro; step son, Brian Heinert of Queen Creek, Ariz.; step daughter, Amy Elizabeth Holland of Gibsonburg, Ohio; niece, Ginger Carrion of Rocky Top; special great niece, Samantha Carrion; grandchildren, Nicole and Billy Boyd and great grandchildren, Austin and Alex Boyd and Amber Rain Sexton. Many other nieces, nephews, and dear relatives and friends.Upon Billy's wishes, he will be cremated.Hatmaker Funeral Home of Rocky Top was in charge of arrangements.
