Beverly Ann Nixon, of Longs, SC, was promoted to heaven on August 2, 2017, at the age of 66. She slipped away peacefully in the early morning into the waiting presence of her Lord and Savior. Her passion for Christ and love for her family and friends was unabated to the end.

Beverly was born on May 31, 1951 in Bath, NY. She was the daughter of Ebin and Joann Cooley Preston. She graduated cosmetology school and enjoyed cooking, painting, sewing, and other crafts.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Joseph “Wayne” Nixon; one son, Bryan William Winslow; daughter, BethAnn Arlene Prickett; brothers, Daryl and Larry Preston and 8 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Anchor Baptist Church of 3300 Hwy 50, Little River, SC where she and her husband are members. The service will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017. A meal will be served following the service in the church fellowship hall.
