Betty L. ShafferNASHPORT: Betty L. Shaffer, age 77, of Nashport, passed away on April 2, 2016 at Price Road Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family. She was born on July 27, 1938 in Outville, OH to the late Robert and Anna (Crawmer) Miller. Betty loved to travel, cook, crochet, and garden, but what she loved most was spending time with her family. Betty is survived by her children, Donna (Rod) Biggs, Randy (Becky) Shaffer, Greg (Kitty) Shaffer, and Melanie Antle; grandchildren, Dr. Ariel (Julian Ybarra) Biggs, Dr. Austin Biggs, Wendy (Steve) Bice, Gretchin Mallett, Jacob (Amanda) Richards, Gregory (Ashley) Shaffer, Ryan Antle, Kacie Antle, Andrew (Savanna) Garette, and Shawn (Lindsey) Garrette; 16 great grandchildren; and special friend, Bonnie Fannin, who always made time to visit. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, son-in-law, Rich Antle and siblings, Dale Miller, and Judy Nelson.A funeral service will be held for Betty on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 10am at Brucker Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark, OH 43055. Burial to follow at Hanover Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 4pm-8pm on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Funeral Home.
