Betty RockefellerOrange City, FL - Betty Rockefeller, 73, and formerly of Stanfordville, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Vassar Brother's Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.She was born on July 25, 1943 in Rhinebeck, NY the daughter of the late Harry and Emma (Ostrander) Hults. Betty enjoyed being with her family. Loved going to the beach, watching the sunrise. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren's events. Betty also loved all kinds of animals and enjoyed going to the casino.She devoted so much time to her family, showing us how to love and be there for one another. Betty was a loving mother, nanny, sister and aunt.Survivors include her husband, Paul D. Rockefeller of Orange City, FL; two daughters, Michele Myers (James), Penny Rockefeller (Dan Sherman), a son, Paul Rockefeller, four sisters, Nettie Sommerville, Marie Brown, Catherine Koch and Sarah Agnelli. seven grandchildren, James Myers III, (Alicia), Mike Myers, Roxanne Myers, Tabitha Brennan, Shannon Brennan, Amanda Rockefeller, Ashley Rockefeller, four great grandchildren, James IV, Jacob, Evalyn Rose Wyant, and Khloe MacDonald, brother-in-law, Rich Rockefeller, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Willian Hults. There are no calling hours.A celebration of life gathering will be held at United Church of Christ on Saturday, January 14th from 1 to 5 pm.Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
