Mom and Granny, Betty Reaves, 74, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 06, 2020. She was born and raised in San Diego to the late Robert Hatfield and Thelma Nelda Shirley on December 10, 1946.

She married the late Edward Reaves in 1969 and for over 40 years they lived together in San Diego, California. Together they raised 3 children Tina, Johnny, and Edward (Lily). She was a loving Grandmother to 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and a caring Aunt as well to nieces and nephews.

She loved travelling and did so often with her grandchildren visiting sites from national parks to Disneyland creating a lifetime of memories.

Betty started her medical clerical career working in a number of offices throughout medical clinics in San Diego. She spent the majority of her career dedicated to providing support to countless doctors and patients throughout the years at Rady Children\'s Hospital until she retired in 2001.

A lifelong Roman Catholic she attended the Mass regularly at St. Michael\'s parish in Poway, CA.

Betty was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman. We will miss her every day.
