Burial will be 11:00AM, Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Abilene Municipal Cemetery.Betty Edmond-Jenkins was born on August 26, 1926 to Jim and Estella Traylor-Edmond in Cason, Texas. To this union 12 children were born. Betty graduated high school from Carver High in Naples, Texas. In her adult life, Betty moved to Abilene, Texas where she mothered five children and worked at the local hospital as a custodian. While in Abilene, Betty later met and Married Billy Jenkins and two children were born to this union. Betty leaves to cherish her memory five children, Addie Woods of Cason, Texas, Linda Edmond-Linwood of Cason, Texas, Sharon Edmond ( Billy Jo) Dillard of Hughes Springs, Texas, Mary Jenkins-Seda of Korea and Billy Wayne Jenkins of Abilene, Texas. Betty also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
