Mrs. Betty Lou Thompson Duvall of Crumpler died on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Glenbridge Health & Rehab Center in Boone. She was 68.

Mrs. Duvall was born on April 2, 1946, in Ashe County to Robert Conley and Lou Sheets Thompson.

Mrs. Duvall was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donnie Thompson and E.J. Hart.

Mrs. Duvall worked at Walmart as a sales associate. She enjoyed doing puzzles and loved to read.

Mrs. Duvall is survived by daughter, Penny Duvall of Lansing; daughter, Beckie Duvall of Wilkesboro; daughter, Callie Duvall of Wilkesboro; brother, Bob Thompson of Jefferson; brother, Ronnie Thompson of West Jefferson; sister, Pat Tedder of King; sister, Cara Lee Segraves of West Jefferson; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014, Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Lloyd Day. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014, at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
