Betty LaneyFt. LoudonBetty J Laney, 84, passed away September 15, 2017 at home. She was born on January 10, 1933 in Little Cove to Raymond and Annie Keefer. She had worked in clothing manufacturing in Chambersburg and Shippensburg. She enjoyed playing bingo and attending family reunions.Betty is survived by her husband, William C. Laney; and her four children, Michael (husband of Lorlane) Starliper of St. Thomas, David (husband of Athena) Starliper of Shippensburg, Norman E. Starliper Jr. Chambersburg, and Rosetta (wife of Richard) White of Shippensburg. She is also survived by a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has two sisters, Mary Lou Pyne of Chambersburg and Arlene Hawbaker of Mercersburg; and two brothers, Harold Pine of St. Thomas and Jacob Pine of Fayetteville. In addition to her father, Raymond Keefer and her mother, Annie Keefer Pine she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda.Funeral services will be Tuesday Sept. 19 at 11 AM at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg, with the Rev. Lonnie Shover officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
