We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Betty Jones on May 4th, 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Betty was born on November 11th, 1972 to her loving parents Douglas and Ellen Jones.

Betty was a devoted mother to her seven children: Jermaine Santiago, Sherwayne Govan, Sherjuan Govan, Sir. Daniel Govan, Resha’e Bucksom, Sherman’s Govan, and Katana Miller. She was also a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren.

Betty lived her life to the fullest, always bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. She had a knack for telling hilarious stories and could make anyone she met crack a smile. Her witty sense of humor and infectious laughter will be dearly missed.

Throughout her life, Betty faced many challenges with grace and strength. She fought a courageous battle against cancer, never once losing her positive spirit or her determination to keep fighting.

Although we are heartbroken by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that Betty is now at peace and watching over us with a smile on her face. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and her memory will continue to bring us joy and laughter.

Rest in peace, dear Betty. Your light will shine on in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.
