Betty Chenoweth , 91, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed on April 04, 2023. Betty was born on May 01, 1931. Betty Jean Chenoweth, aka “Wildcat, Lighthouse Lady, Gypsy Lady.” Preceded in death by husband, James Chenoweth. Survived by daughter, Janice Reese, and husband Roman; son, James A. Chenoweth II, wife Sheila; grandson Fisher Chenoweth. Betty never met a stranger and enjoyed striking up a conversation with anyone she met. Jim brought her to Donelson when the buffalo roamed where Opryland exists today. Betty enjoyed visiting Lighthouses with special friends and received a certificate for climbing 219 steps at St. Augustine lighthouse. Lola a constant companion was her “reason to get up in the morning.” She was a member of St. Phillips Episcopal Church for 60 years and a Donelson resident. The family would like to thank the staff at Lakeshore Heartland for the wonderful care and home given to Betty during her stay there.
