CABLE - Betty Jane Welcome, "Toots" of Cable, WI, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at her home, July 7, 2013. Toots was born on March 31, 1939 in Racine, WI, to Frederick and Eleanor (Beauchamp) Eppler. She attended Washington Park High School. During her life she held many positions working at the Bendtsens Bakery, Piggly Wiggly grocery store, Country Side restaurant, and Sears. She lived in Racine, Union Grove, Kenosha and finally settling down in Cable for 23 years. On April 7th, 1956 she married the love of her life, Jerome Welcome at St. Mary's Church in Racine, WI. She belonged to several organizations including the Red Hat Society, line dancing with the Kountry Kickers in Cable; she was a very active member at St. Ann Church. She was an accomplished seamstress, a phenomenal cook and an accomplished baker; which included many outstanding wedding cakes for family members. She was also a wonderful mother, raising three children. She also enjoyed gardening. Betty had a special love for butterfly's, specifically the Monarch, believing that they symbolized new life. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jerome; children, Sandra (Thomas) McGrath, of Kenosha, WI, Tammy Jo (Pamela) Welcome, Baileys Harbor, WI, Curtis (Sarah) Welcome, of Sandy, UT; grandchildren, Shawn, Patrick, Meghann, Daniel, Nathan, Shera, Constance, Jeremy, Alexandra, Chandra, Lindsey, Trevor; siblings, Robert (Carol) Eppler, Richard (Collette) Eppler, Judith (James) Hughes, Ronald ( Diane) Eppler, Gerald (Ellie) Eppler, Carol (David) Nielsen, Sharrie (Jerry) Ulcek, Rodger (Kris) Eppler, many nieces and nephews and her grand-dog, Gus. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gerald Eppler. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Cable, WI on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10 am. Fr.
