Betty FryHartfordBetty Darlene Fry passed away on July 6, 2017 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Funeral services for Betty will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle with visitation to start at 9:00 am. Interment will follow services in the Van Wert Cemetery. Betty was born on September 5, 1922 in Decatur County, Iowa to Elij and Dell Parmer. Betty graduated high school and became a teacher for several years. Later she worked as a teller for Hartford Carlisle Savings Bank for 10 years. Betty is survived by her 2 children, Norman(Lois)Fry of Pleasantville and Linda(Don)Van Ekeren of Hartford; 3 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her 12 siblings, Dick, Otis, Glen, Don, Bud, Cliff, Elsie, Blanche, Ruby, Violet, Jenny and Audrey.
