Betty M. BeckWrightsvilleBetty M. Beck, 67, died Monday June 26, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday June 30, 2017 at St. Peter's Church, 1708 Seitzville Road, Seven Valleys, with Pastors Noah Trask and Thomas Beck officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Betty said, "I am a blue jeans gal, please dress causal for the service and be happy!" The Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., Glen Rock, is in charge of the arrangements.Betty was born on July 13, 1949, in Glen Rock, a daughter of Blanche R. (Bowman) Beck of Seven Valleys and the late Curvin E. Beck, Sr. She was a 1967 graduate of Dallastown High School and retired from Harley Davidson in 2010 after working 12 years in the finishing department. Prior to that she worked as a finisher for 20 years at Rojahn Kitchens, York Casket, and Port-a-Crib. Ms. Beck was a member of St. Peter's Church, Seven Valleys. She loved to make wooden crafts as a hobby. Betty liked sports, including, Penn State Football, Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers, and NASCAR. She also loved, flowers and God's beautiful earth, especially the mountains and wildlife. Besides her mother, she leaves two sons, Robert E. Slenker and his wife, Sherry of LaVale, MD, and Thomas L. Slenker and his wife, Tayne of Wrightsville; a grandson, Ryan Troutman; three brothers, Curvin Beck, Jr. and his wife, Evelyn of Glen Rock, Michael Beck of Stewartstown, and Paul Beck of Glen Rock; her "four legged kids," two shelties, Scotty and Lenny; a cat, Carrie; and a cockatiel, Buddy.
