It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Prater, who peacefully left us on January 19, 2026, in Hueysville (historical), Kentucky, United States.

Betty was born on June 30, 1947, to Forest and Katie Sturgill. She shared her life and love with her partner, Devon Prater, and together they raised two wonderful children. Brandon Sturgill, who is married to Robin, and Justin Sturgill, who is married to Angel.

Betty leaves behind a legacy of love and joy in the hearts of her family, including her 8 beloved grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
