It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Potts, who peacefully left this world on September 10, 2024, in Inkster, Michigan, United States. She was born on March 30, 1947, to her parents Theodore and Mary Williams.

Betty is survived by her loving partner Sherman Potts Snr, their five children, and ten grandchildren. She was a devoted mother who always put her family first and took great joy in watching her grandchildren grow.

Betty was a proud alumna of Inkster High School, where she received her education. She had a passion for Gospel music and singing, which brought her comfort and joy throughout her life. Many of her family members developed a love for music from her love for church in which her grandson Rodney and grandaugter Stephanie Jones led our own Peoples Community Youth choir for many years.

Unfortunately, Betty's life was cut short by heart disease, a battle she fought bravely until the very end. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

May she rest in peace, forever in our hearts.
