Betty Grossman, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at home while surrounded by her family, following a heroic battle with cancer. She was born on March 19, 1932, in Kanawha, IA, to Martin and Anna Thornes. Betty grew up in rural Iowa and lived in Colorado, Georgia, and southern California, prior to moving to Fresno, CA in 1967. She worked in real estate for more than 30 years, earning the respect of her peers, through her passionate representation of her clients. Though Betty had countless friends and was extremely proud of her Iowa roots and Norwegian heritage, her family was by far her greatest treasure. She lived for her children and grandchildren. Betty is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 62 years, Earl Grossman; children, Dave Grossman and his wife Desiree, Bob Grossman and his wife Lori, and Marta Magee and her husband Ken; grandchildren, Scott and Meagan Grossman, Ryan and Sydney Grossman, Chelsie and Chris Arnold, Elizabeth, Katie and Christopher Grossman, Shelby and Jennifer Magee; great-granddaughter, Addison Grossman and expected great-granddaughter "Peanut"; sister, Ruth Logue; and sister-in-law, Lois Grossman. A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis Cemetery on Monday, October 17, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Remembrances in Betty's memory may be made to St. Agnes Hospice, 6729 N.
