Bertha U. Mona was born on March 17, 1927 in El Paso, Texas. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 7, 2017. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed. She is preceded in death by her loving first husband Antonio Mona; her common law husband Ricardo Del Palacio; her mother, Glafira Gonzalez; her fathers, Basilio Urquidi and Alejandro Gonzalez; brothers, Guadalupe G. Urquidi and Eduardo Urquidi; and sister, Elvira Urquidi. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Antonio Mona, Jr., and Ernesto Mona; and daughter Patricia Coley; grandchildren, Monique Ali Coley- Mona and Noelle Marie Coley; great grandchildren, Valentina Mia Venegas-Coley, Ximena Isabella Rodriguez-Coley and Zeyn Mateo Hagi. Visitation will be from 5:00p to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2709 Alabama. Committal Service will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
