LIGONIER — Bertha L. Miller-Troyer, 91, of Ligonier, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at her son's home. She was born on March 8, 1923, in Haven, Kansas, to Lewis and Albina (O'Neal) Meier. She married Jake Miller. He preceded her in death in 1967. She then married Jerry Troyer in 1971. He preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Paul (Linda) Miller, of Cromwell, Indiana; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Kansas. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathryn Marlene; a brother; and three sisters. A graveside service in her honor will be on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2915, at noon at Maple Grove Cemetery in Topeka, Indiana. Pastor Brad Cox will officiate. Memorial contributions may be given to Autism Foundation or Riley Children's Hospital for pulmonary research. Yeager Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
