Bertha Kee, 84, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed on October 25, 2022. Bertha was born on December 26, 1937.She was one of twenty siblings, having eighteen brothers and one sister. Regardless of her birthplace , Bertha always considered herself to be a New York Native, living there until she was eighteen, where she later moved to Baltimore, Maryland. At nineteen, she met Jim Rivers, the father of her only child, Tammy Bailey.

Bertha began her nursing carer at nineteen in 1956 at Bolton Hill Nursing Home where she administered medication to paitients. She worked as a nurse until 2003 when she grew tired and settled into her retirement. Her last places of employment were key Circle Hospice and Park Circle Nursing Home where she worked as a Certified Medicine Administrator.Working sixteen hour days to support her family was something Bertha did in stride, never complaining and always diligent .

Aside from all these things, Bertha was so much more. She had a kind heart with sharp tongue to tell the truth to those she loved dearly. She possessed many talents other than her great ability to cook anything from scratch, She could also see, tailor, and make anything from clothes to choir robes. She had a passion for reading, having a home filled with books for her family and consistently buying them more. She loved to sing , singing and performing when she was younger. But most impo, she loved to laugh and spend time with her family and friends.

Bertha Kee was called home on October 27th, 2022, succumbing to kidney and congestive heart failures and she leaves us all to cherish her memory. She leaves behind one daughter, Tammy Bailey; one son-in-law, Michael Bailey Sr; three grand children, Tabetha Bailey, Michael Bailey, Jr., and Bianca Bailey; three great grandchildren, Jordan Dykes, Jazzmen Dykes, Morgan Bailey and Michael Bailey, III; Two sister in law , Ida Wright and Irish Moss; two cousins, Beatrice Frazier and Linwood Frazier and a life full of other family and friend.
