Bernice L. Jiles, (Known as Mom Jiles, Sister Jiles & Mother Jiles) age 92, died Thursday, August 17, 2017. She was born to Shirley McCoy, and Alma Cooper McCoy, January 16, 1925 in Marion, SC. She married James Jiles Sr. in 1942, and they lived together in Philadelphia, Pa. (Philly).

Bernice had 12 children: James Jiles Jr. (deceased), Evelyn (Blondie) Jiles , Barbara Terrell, Yvonne (Bonnie) Douglass, Theodore (Ted) Faircloth,  Thomas (Tommy) Jiles (deceased), Joseph (Joe) Jiles (deceased), Elishama (Lish) Jiles , Steven (Huggy) Jiles, Patrica (Pat) Jiles (deceased), Robert Jiles (deceased), and Cynthia Charleston.

She is deeply missed by her children,  their spouses, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, cousins, uncles, aunts, family friends, neighbors, and the church congregation.

Her strength, love for her children, passion for life and strong religious beliefs will always be cherished as she did while she lived! WE LOVE YOU MOM! Rest In Peace!
