Bernard Melton Jr, beloved son of Bernard Melton and Alisha Gray, was born on November 4, 1966, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. He passed away on January 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Bernard is survived by his loving son, Brandon Melton, who graduated from FAMU High School in 1997 and went on to serve as a police officer and in the Navy as an E8. Brandon was the pride and joy of Bernard's life, and he leaves behind a legacy of dedication and service.

In addition to his commitment to his work, Bernard had a passion for basketball. He enjoyed spending time on the court, honing his skills and engaging in friendly competition with friends and family.

Bernard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering strength will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
