We are gathered here today to mourn the passing of Benny Reyes, who left us far too soon on May 26, 2025, at the young age of 19. Benny was born on June 22, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas, to his loving parents Jose and Trini Reyes.

Benny was known for his quick wit, infectious laughter, and love for life. He found joy in the simple things, like fishing, playing softball, cooking out with a nice cold natural light, and spending time with his family. He was a master at cards and pool, always ready for a friendly competition.

Although Benny's time on this earth was short, he made a lasting impact on those around him. He worked as a mail hauler and fork lift driver, always willing to lend a helping hand to his colleagues and friends. He studied at Rochelle Township High School, where he made lasting friendships and memories.

One of Benny's greatest joys in life was his partner, Martha Hernandez, and his step daughter Erika Mancilla. He adored his family and was a dedicated father figure to them. He leaves behind four grandchildren who will surely miss his love and laughter.

Unfortunately, Benny's life was cut short by a hard battle with cancer. Despite his illness, he faced each day with courage and a smile on his face. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rest in peace, Benny Reyes. May you find eternal peace and happiness in the arms of the angels. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
