Wojtaszek, Benedict N. Age 99, passed away on June 14, 2017 at Huger Mercy Center where he resided. Ben was born on March 21, 1918 to Joseph and Mary Wojtaszek. He married his wife Charlotte Kilijan of 60 years, in Chicago in 1941. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings and his son Robert. Ben was active in the Knights of Columbus, serving as a past State Officer and Grand Knight. He was a founding member and Top Hat Recipient of St. Vincent de Paul and a founding member of St. Thomas the Apostle. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 6:00 P.M. with a Rosary and Knights of Columbus Chalice Service at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M., Friday, June 30, 2017 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E. Campbell Avenue, Phoenix. Interment will follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery.
