Mrs. Beatrice Clark Mahaffey, age 92 of Lansing, died on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Mahaffey was born on May 21, 1924 in Lansing to Harvey and Mary Clark. Mrs. Mahaffey was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Coy Mahaffey. Mrs. Mahaffey loved to garden and work on the family farm. Later in life, she enjoyed quilting. She will be missed by her family, friends, and the community that she loved.

Funeral services were held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Tommy Dollar and Rev. Jeff Dollar. Burial followed in the Clark Cemetery. The family received friends at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Mahaffey is survived by: two sons, Allen Mahaffey and Bob Mahaffey and wife Betty, both of Lansing; one granddaughter, Vicky Mahaffey of North Wilkesboro; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
