We are saddened to announce the passing of Basirat Oyewole, who passed away on October 27, 2024, in Lagos, Nigeria at the age of 63. Basirat was born on April 4, 1961, to her parents Abideen Oyewole and Modupé Bello.

Basirat leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter with her two children, Ramota Oyewole and Adebowale Oyewole. She adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them.

Basirat attended Methodist Girls High School and graduated in 1978, where she made lifelong friendships and fond memories. She had a passion for sewing and was known for her impeccable skills and attention to detail.

Despite her battle with breast cancer, Basirat remained strong and always had a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rest in peace, Basirat. Your spirit will live on in the hearts of those you touched.
