Basil D. Renbarger, 88Muncie - Basil D. Renbarger, 88, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Bethel Pointe Health and Rehabilitation surrounded by his family.He was born on September 12, 1929 in Wabash, Indiana, the son of Herman and Pearl (Keffer) Renbarger.Basil graduated from Central High School. He married Joyce A. Fields on January 24, 1953 at Whitely Church. He worked forty years in audio visual department at Ball State University and the Ski-Hi Drive Inn.He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Odd Fellows, and a member at The Garden at Gethsemane United Methodist Church where he, his wife, Joyce, and sister-in-law, Helen Bartlett serve as the three charter members. Basil loved collecting Mickey Mouse.Survivors include his wife of sixty-four years, Joyce Renbarger; children, Rosann Smoot, Dorann Ramsey, Bradley Renbarger (wife, Lisa), Allen Renbarger (wife, Lisa), Terra Smith (husband, Bill), and Terry Renbarger; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marcile Gulley.Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at The Garden at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, 1201 W McGalliard Rd, Muncie, IN 47303.
