WOOD, Barbara Ruth Sept. 15, 1929- Nov. 10, 2016 Barbara Adamson Wood was born on 9/15/1929, to Wallace and Hazel Adamson in Patterson, New Jersey. Shortly thereafter they moved to Madison, New Jersey where in high school she met and fell in love with her future husband Kenneth Wood. Directly after high school they married and moved to Omaha, Nebraska where Ken started his career in retailing. In-between being transferred to a number of states, Bobbie and Ken had five daughters, Gail, Sheran, Wendy, Lauren, and Cindy. They finally were transferred to Southern California where they found their "Second Family" at King Harbor Yacht Club. There they enjoyed many wonderful days on the water, occasional nights anchored in Catalina Island harbor and watching some beautiful sunsets at the Yacht club. Upon retirement, "Bobbie" and Ken moved to Atlanta Georgia area to be near their daughters, grandkids and great grandkids. Bobbie and Ken were married for 70 wonderful years. After cremation, their ashes will be scattered at sea. Service will be held at: Georgia Cremation Centers, 4325 HWY 92, Acworth, GA 30102. Dec. 1, 2016 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm.
