Barbara R. MiddletonBarbara Alice Middleton, 80, passed away February 27, 2017 in her home. She was born on March 19, 1936, in Downing, MO to Leo and Jenivee (Ketchum) Riley. Barbara graduated from Downing High School in 1954. She was also an active member of the Republic Church of Christ. Barbara Riley married George David Middleton on January 30, 1955. Together they shared 62 years of wedded bliss. She and George loved to travel in their RV and spent 2 years traveling full time. They visited the lower 48 states, Alaska, and Canadian providences. Her interests included her grand kids, gardening, and crafts. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rachel Rene Patterson and daughter in law, Tracey Marie Middleton. Mrs. Middleton is survived by her husband, George David and their 3 children: Barbara Annette and Wesley, Georgia Alison, and Wayne Alan; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 6-8 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Graveside services will be on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 10 am in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to .
