Barbara Shepherd (Nana), of Alvord, Texas, passed away on August 12, 2021, just a week shy of her 77th birthday. She was born on August 19, 1944, to Charles and Mildred Haney.

Barbara is survived by her three children, Monica, Robert, and Charlie, as well as five grandchildren, Isaac being her closest, Isiah, Mariah and Monique.

Known for her love of going to church, Barbara was always dressed to the nines on Sunday mornings, ready to praise the Lord with her fellow churchgoers.

Barbara's passing was a shock to all who knew her, as she simply went to sleep one night and never woke up. We can only assume she left this world peacefully, dreaming of her next church service.

While she may no longer be with us, Barbara will forever hold a place in our hearts as the fun-loving Nana who could make anyone laugh.

Rest in peace, Barbara. We will always remember your infectious laughter and love for life. And please, save us a seat in the choir when we join you in heaven.

You can to the family or in memory of Barbara Shepherd (Nana).
