Barbara Jane (Huffman) Kroh, age 88, of Brookville PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at the VNA Inpatient Hospice Center in Butler, PA. She was born on July 3, 1927, to the late Edgar M. and Margaret (Kanipp) Huffman, in Parker, PA. On September 1, 1947, she married Richard E. Kroh in New Bethlehem, PA; Richard preceded her in death on January 4, 2004. For over 30 years she worked as a secretary for the Brookville Area School District. She was a devout member of the First United Methodist Church in Brookville, PA, and she was a past Worthy Matron for the Order of the Eastern Star. Richard and Barbara were avid Square Dancers and she was a major fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. She enjoyed corresponding with her friends through letters and notes, and she enjoyed basket weaving as a pass time. Her most favorite time of the year was throughout the Christmas season. Barbara is survived by 2 sons, Larry (Dee) Kroh of Emlenton, PA; and Todd (Jeanmarie) Kroh of Houston, TX; 1 sister, Patricia Gray of Brookville, PA; 1 brother, Edgar Huffman of Wilmington, DE; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 26, 2016, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, Ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville PA, 15825. A funeral service will take place on Friday, May 27, 2016, also at the Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00am and officiated by Rev. Dennis Johnson. Interment will take place at the Brookville Cemetery in Brookville PA.
